County Administrator's Role The County Administrator is the Chief Administrative Officer appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The Administrator is responsible to the Board of Commissioners for the proper and efficient administration of the affairs of the Clay County Government. The County Administrator performs these responsibilities through the various department directors and administrative personnel, who report directly to the County Administrator.

Public Records Requests All requests for public records of Clay County must be made to: County Administrator There will be a charge of twenty-five cents ($0.25) per page that is copied. An administrative fee for the search, retrieval, monitoring and other direct administrative costs in conjunction with filing a document request, will also be charged. This cost represents the hourly rates of the lowest paid individual who possess the necessary skill and training to perform the request.
